A Science  and maths fair project can be self- validating and exciting because it is not just practice. It is perhaps the only educational activity that allows students to teach themselves and to identify and choose the tools they need to conduct and conclude their project. Learning the outcome and finding the answer can be an electrifying powerful moment of discover. It proves to students, and to others, that they were successful and that they did it on their own!
